Wild Tulips - Preview

I suppose Tulips might be the most featured spring flowers in magazines. Therefore it seems to be challenging to find a new approach in introducing this versatile and at least in springtime omnipresent plant family. For my recent photo production, I decided to concentrate on wild Tulips as most flower lovers are actually not familiar with these beauties. Discovering and conveying their simplicity and natural appearance was what interests me the most while I was shooting the motifs.

More wild Tulip pictures coming soon!

This is a new floral feature that wasn't published yet. For inquiries contact me via info@corneliaweber.com

Lilac - A distant memory

Until now I missed posting the complete Lilac story I shot in May. Although autumn mood is hovering in the chilly morning air and leaves are turning red and yellow every where I try to remember this particular scent of lilac ...

The scent of May - Lilac

One more preview today: Made this bouquet for  my recent Lilac shooting. What I love most about it is the contrast between the deep purple colors and the lush green of the Japanese Marple tree foliage.

Peonie love

Last weekend I captured these deep red Peonies. I am so happy that I was allowed to shoot the whole story on a stunning location. The old farmhouse was basically build in the 17th century. Its worn and pitoresque walls tamed the exuberant beauty of the peonies.
More impressions coming soon ...

Mimosa

I am not keen on yellow shades, exept for this amazing plant ... I can not get enough of Mimosas. During the last days while a was shooting these fragile botanical chains of lights I enjoyed beeing surrounded by their incredible scent ...

Easter Brunch Recipes

And here they are, some of my Easter brunch ideas:

A delicious and mellow yeast pastry wreath
 with hazelnuts and dried apricots,
a fruity rhubarb curd,
a spicy and easily prepared graved salmon with cucumber mousse,
some crispy egg cookies,
an egg liqueur with rasberries, that brings you to your knees,
some pickled eggs, nice to look at and tasty,
a springlike parsley soup and finally a classic - a well done
roastbeef with sauce tartare.

Asparagus

Wilder Spargel / Asparargus

Hooray, it's asparagus season.
A few days ago I cooked kind of original asparagus for the first time. Appearance and taste were very inspiring.

Ich mag den Kontrast der Farben Weiß, Grün und Pink. Sie stehen für Frische, Kraft und Neubeginn -
Attribute, die auch dem Frühling zugeschrieben werden.

I really like the contrast of green, white and pink. These colors represent freshness, strength and renewal. And that is what spring stands for.

Ich mag diese kleine tapfere Blume sehr. Sie ist genügsam
und sehr ausdauernd - und vor allem wunderschön anzusehen.

I quite like this brave tiny flower due to it's frugality
and power of endurance and not least because of it's beauty.
